The January transfer market proves to be a time of intense rumour and potential big-money deals. A number of high-profile footballers are being connected to transfers out of their current clubs. Here is a look at a selection of the major names that are poised to be changing clubs in January.

A. Semenyo

Although the Black Stars' inability to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, this has left the forward in contention, indications are a major move is imminent. This 25-year-old possesses a deal with a £65 million release clause active for a brief period in early January. Latest developments point to the Premier League champions look to have won the race for his services. Marc Guéhi

The England centre-back has excel for Crystal Palace despite a summer transfer to Liverpool falling through. As his contract due to run out in the summer, this represents the London club's final chance to obtain a transfer fee for their skipper. Numerous elite sides, such as Manchester City and multiple continental powerhouses like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, are believed to hold an interest. Yet, a January exit remains unlikely, especially given the manager's reliance on the defender.

B. Johnson

This Welsh winger has had starting opportunities hard to come by at Spurs this campaign. Reports suggest the North London club is open to a sale for the correct valuation, thought to be in the around £40 million. Bournemouth are currently leading the chase, with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Brentford also credited with an interest.

Spurs rate the Welsh international at around forty million pounds.

This Portuguese playmaker might be poised for a comeback to the English top flight following a spell in the Saudi Pro League.
