Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Inspects Troops in the Vicinity of Heavily Contested Pokrovsk Front

The head of state conducted a visit to address Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk region on the start of the week. The president confirmed that he met with warriors at the operational headquarters of the 1st Corps of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya area, an urban center approximately 12 miles from the city.

Intense Situation in Pokrovsk

Recent mapping from a local initiative showed that Russian forces had advanced deeper into Pokrovsk and its environs, though significant areas was not fully held by any party. The status is precarious, with updates indicating that invading units were fortifying positions and building up positions in some districts.

Invading troops continue to advance in the Pokrovsk direction and seem to be functioning with enhanced confidence within urban Pokrovsk.

Analysts commented that defense units had recaptured substantial territory of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya direction, on the east side of the Pokrovsk operation.

Kyiv's Aerial Attacks Deep Inside Russia

Ukrainian long-range drones struck a factory approximately over 800 miles inside Russian territory at the city. Regional authorities announced a detonation at the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant that caused its water treatment facility to suffer damage, adding that the origin of the detonation was undetermined. The Ukrainian military general staff stated there was extensive harm to the complex.

Ukraine's military reported hitting a fuel processing plant at the city in the Russian region east of Moscow. The degree of impact was under evaluation. The Russian regional governor acknowledged a strike by 20 drones near the area.

The federation's diplomatic mission later posted condolences for the passing of a construction employee in the incident but used the chance to complain that the critical reaction to the statements was anti-Russian.
